The lightest in colour of the naturally durable American softwoods. Fine, uniform texture and straight grain; silvers upon exposure. Strongly aromatic, moderately strong and hard. Used where weather resistance, stability and workability are needed: bleachers, park benches, exterior cabinetwork, stage construction, foundry patterns, marine and landscape installations.
